My name is Barbelo, and I created this website to share with you my artwork that shares my unique story, and where my faith finds a quiet place for you to rest and reflect.

Over the past six years, my art has been guided by a vivid imagination and a steady belief that beauty can carry us through anything. I haven't always been a digital artist, but in one of the hardest seasons of my life, I picked up a stylus and let God lead me the rest of the way on this journey.

I pour so much of myself into each piece, hoping they lift you somewhere you've never been, or somewhere you've forgotten you needed to return to. These works were born from deep within my soul, and it is my joy to share them with you.

Using an iPad, an Apple Pencil, and Procreate, I invite you to wander through my imaginative soulful terrains, poetic skies, raging seas, flowerful gardens, and faith-filled moments of deep reflection. They are not meant to be perfect; but they are made perfectly for each moment they were meant to be felt.

With artistic intuition, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and a touch of narrative grace, I shape my imagination into a soulful experience. A LITTLE ABOUT ME

MEET THE CREATOR

Like many of us, we go through personal transformations and in 2020 was one of the most gigantic changes that brought me to this new version of ME.

What's different is how much I pushed myself further than I had ever done. I grew stronger in my mind, heart, and soul. I saw myself accomplish things I never knew I had the ability to do. I faced invisible enemies head on and did everything in my power to NEVER GIVE UP in faith in myself or GOD.

My creative mind blossomed out of a very dark time in my life. However, this fruit is more beautiful and gives me life from within to create and share my divine creations even more.

MY IMAGINATION

A POWER FROM WITHIN

It all began with a simple gift of an "iPad Pencil" given to me from my beautiful daughter. She being an artist herself, gave me the start to my journey of revealing and vivid imagination that births deep from within me.

The images speak so deep from my soul's life experiences that are from pain, sadness, doubt, grief, love, and joy. I remember my first steps on my creative path began with these first words..."What shall I create today?"

Those very words changed my life going forward. I hope you feel my divine inspiration that I bring out in all these creative gifts using the medium of Digital Art. All my art is created through the Procreate application of which I am so grateful to have learned.

SO MANY CHANGES

In both my career life and personal life I would always say "change is the only constant", and I have been through so much change in the past several years!

Just the past three years I have had to deal with unemployment and two years of living in shelters to survive some very difficult times. I know my life has been purified from these experiences that I have had, and now this beautiful "Lion" is ready to roar into a new life ahead that God has promised to all his children.
